WHEN LIFE HAPPENS, WHAT will YOU DO NEXT?

The Pause. Check. Reset. Method™

Three simple steps to create space between what happens and how you respond.
Step 1. Pause
Pause your story.
Step 2. Check
Check your reactions.
Step 3. Reset
Reset with intention.
The problem can change.
But the method stays the same.
Natural conversation indoors

MOST OF US DON'T CHOOSE OUR FIRST REACTION.
Something happens.
A conversation doesn't go the way we expected.

Plans change.

An email lands.

Someone says something that gets under our skin.

Or sometimes nothing dramatic happens at all.

We simply keep living by the same stories, beliefs and assumptions we've carried for years.

And before we realise it, we're reacting to life automatically.

The Pause. Check. Reset. Method™ gives us a simple way to interrupt that automatic response.

To notice.

To question.

And to choose what we do next with greater intention.

You can't always change what's happening.
But you can choose how you respond to it.

THREE SIMPLE STEPS
A simple way to create space between what happens and what you do next.
Step. 01
Pause

Pause your story.

Create a bit of space before automatically reacting.

Ask:

What am I telling myself right now?

You don't always know the whole story yet.

And sometimes the story you've been telling yourself isn't the only way to see what's happening.
Step. 02
Check

Check your reactions.

Notice what's happening inside you.

Ask:

What am I feeling?

What am I reacting to?

Is my reaction helping or making this harder?

Checking isn't about judging yourself.

It's about becoming aware enough to recognise that you have a choice.
Step. 03
Reset

Reset with intention.

Resetting doesn't mean changing what happened.

It means deciding what you want to do next.

Ask:

How do I want to respond?
SAME METHOD. DIFFERENT MOMENT.
The problem can change.
The method stays the same.
It might be a difficult conversation.

Pressure at work.

A relationship.

A setback.

An unexpected change of plan.

Something happening with your family.

A story you've been telling yourself.

A belief about who you're supposed to be.

A moment when life simply doesn't go the way you expected.

Different situation.
Same opportunity:

Pause it.
Check it.
Reset it.
ONE METHOD. DIFFERENT WAYS TO EXPERIENCE IT.

Through Speaking
Daring to Be You
"Your greatest asset is your ability to be yourself" - Donna Martin.
Sometimes the stories we tell ourselves aren't actually our stories.

They can be shaped by expectations, experiences, other people's opinions and ideas about who we think we're supposed to be.

Daring to Be You invites people to look at those stories from a different perspective.

And The Pause. Check. Reset. provides a simple way in.

Pause — What story am I telling myself?

Check — Is this actually my story?

Reset — What if I looked at this differently?

Because sometimes changing what comes next starts with questioning the story that's been shaping what came before.

Will you dare to be you?

The problem can change.

But the method stays the same.
